Rise of a New Horizon – ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Standard
Kathy Seabrookl
President, Global Solutions, Inc

As President and founder of Global Solutions Inc., a global SH&E management consultancy, Kathy is best known for her work in strategic and global SH&E management to include aligning safety and sustainability within the context of a business culture. Kathy is a recognized international speaker, leadership educator and a well recognized presenter having published in several books to include ASSE’s Safety Professional’s Handbook. ISHN magazine named her a 2012 ‘Power 101 Leader of the Environmental Health and Safety World.’ EHS Today identified her as a ‘Guru’ in SH&E and one of ‘The 50 People Who Most Influenced EHS in 2010-2011. Kathy is also a chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and received a B.S in Chemistry from James Madison University.

With Kathy’s ASSE leadership experience spanning the chapter, region, practice specialty, council and Board of Directors levels, having served on the ANSI Z10 and OHSAS 18002 committees and directly engaging health and safety at the international level, she is best qualified and positioned to share her unique perspective on the rise of ISO 45001

Michael Rubin

Michael Rubin is a partner in the firm’s Buffalo office and focuses his practice on complex construction litigation, construction defect, and defending owners and contractors in claims alleging violation of New York Labor Law. Michael has on-the-ground experience conducting accident investigations and represents employers at all stages of OSHA enforcement proceedings, including negotiating for the withdrawal and reclassification of violations at informal conferences and formally contesting citations. Michael is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and is a frequent lecturer on best practices minimizing OSHA liability, the New York Labor Law and strategies for effective risk management and risk transfer.

Michael will extend his knowledge and experience by doing a deep dive in to OSHA’s Unpreventable Misconduct Defense and provide us with a comprehensive perspective.
